This week, I’ve been thinking about the power of connection, the threads that tie us to one another, to ourselves, and to something greater than us.
Whether it’s with loved ones, new friends, or Spirit, or any higher power that resonates with you, connection is what gives life depth and meaning.
During life’s challenges, when we are facing something that feels insurmountable, feeling seen and heard can be the lifeline that pulls us through.
Here’s what’s been inspiring me about connection this week.
Mind: Thoughts That Inspire
"Connection is why we're here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives." – Brené Brown
A Quote:
This quote is a beautiful reminder that at the heart of everything we do, our reason, our why, our purpose, lies our need for connection, with others, ourselves, and the universe.
What I’m Learning:
This week, I’ve been thinking about how connection nurtures our spirit and helps us grow.
Connection with Spirit reminds us we’re never alone and helps us see the bigger picture, beyond our immediate struggles.
On the other hand, human connection allows us to be seen, heard, and supported in ways that are deeply healing. Even a heartfelt message from a friend or a moment of kindness from a stranger can rekindle hope and light.
We need both in our lives to feel truly balanced. It was only once I realised this that I started to heal.
It can be hard to reach out to others, and sometimes not easy to feel a connection outside of ourselves, but it is vital if we are to live a full life.
Body: Practices That Ground
A Nourishing Meal:
I’ve been leaning into the joy of shared meals this week, simple, healthy food enjoyed with loved ones. One favourite has been roasted vegetable soup with crusty bread, the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug in a bowl.
A Simple Practice:
Connection starts with ourselves.
This week, I’ve been making a conscious effort to sit quietly with my thoughts for five minutes a day. No distractions, just tuning in. Not as part of my meditation practice, but just letting the thoughts come up as they need to.
It’s amazing how grounding and clarifying this small practice can be.
Soul: Connection and Reflection
A Book Recommendation:
This week, I’ve been rereading The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown. She writes so beautifully about the importance of being vulnerable and open to connection, even when it feels hard.
A Meditation:
I created a short meditation on connection. It’s a grounding practice to help you feel supported and in tune with the world around you.
Since I made this meditation, I’ve changed my own practice slightly in that instead of seeing the white light and green earth energy coming from outside of myself, I see it as expanding from within. After all, we are connected to all, we are creators and creation.
Music That Moves Me:
Better Together by Jack Johnson has been playing on repeat this week. It’s simple, uplifting, and the perfect soundtrack for moments of connection.
I’m a big Jack Johnson fan!
What’s been your most meaningful connection this week?
I’d love to hear how you’re growing your relationships, both with others and yourself.
Here’s to finding beauty in every connection
See you next week!

Change your life in just 21 days!
Meditation has made a huge difference in my life. It’s helped me cope with very challenging situations, it helps me find clarity and a feeling of inner peace. It’s a pause, a stillness that I take for myself so I can leave whatever is happening in my outer world alone for a few minutes. I get up off my meditation cushion feeling like I can take on the day!
I’ve realised that there are three keys to living a full life, and one of them leads to the other two. Abundance, Love, and Gratitude. If we take care of gratitude the other two naturally follow.
The challenging issue is that we live such busy lives and don’t always have an hour or two to sit in meditation. So how do we get the benefits from it and easily make time for it?
Two things - shorter meditations and journaling.
Journalling after meditation, even for a couple of minutes, reinforces what we listen to, and the changes we want to make, and it gives clarity of thought.
I’ve created this Mindfulness course with 21 meditations and 21 journal prompts. I have designed it so that you can do both in only 10 minutes a day.
I am so convinced that this is not only doable but will make a big difference in your life that I’m offering a money-back guarantee if at the end of the 21 days, you don’t feel that you’ve brought more Abundance, Love, and Gratitude into your life, you can have a full refund!

Roasted vegetable soup with crusty bread for lunch with a friend, and Jack Johnson playing in the background. Sounds perfect to me!
Connection for me this week, has been a focus with me and my kids. I am trying to be open and listen to what they are saying, rather than be defensive. I m checking in a bit more often -- not with an agenda, but just because I want them to know I am thinking about them.
