From Criticism to Confidence - G's Tips for Rebuilding
How Talk to Yourself the Right Way & Boost Self Esteem
Our mind accepts as truth whatever we tell ourselves, which means when we talk negatively, it believes us.
However, we can turn this around as this same power can be harnessed for good by utilising positive affirmations.
The words we speak to ourselves shape our reality, influence our self-perception, and impact our overall well-being.
Negative self-talk can be incredibly damaging.
When we constantly criticize ourselves, we reinforce feelings of inadequacy and diminish our self-worth.
These negative statements become deeply ingrained, affecting our confidence and limiting our potential.
But the good news is that we can change this narrative.
Positive affirmations are powerful tools that can help rewire our thinking.
By consciously choosing to speak kindly to ourselves and affirm our strengths and abilities, we can shift our mindset and improve our self-esteem.
Simple affirmations like "I am capable," "I am worthy," and "I am enough" can make a profound difference over time.
Start by paying attention to your inner dialogue.
When you catch yourself thinking negatively, pause and replace those thoughts with positive affirmations.
Write down affirmations that resonate with you and repeat them daily, especially during challenging moments.
Over time, your mind will begin to accept these positive statements as truth, just as it did with the negative ones.
Use the power of positive self-talk and witness the change it brings to your life.
Remember, you have the ability to change your inner dialogue and create a more compassionate and empowering narrative for yourself.

I love this post! Yes, positive self-talk through affirmations is so vital to our emotional health. I really need to get back to listing them in my journal. Ironically, my post this week is titled Self-Talk.
This is great. I love the idea of changing/retraining your inner dialogue.
