Georgia, I've never been drawn to the Tao Te Ching for the reasons you state, but I might love this version. I'm impressed with your consistency, as illustrated by your gratitude jar and the beautiful moments of gratitude you collected. A big yes to taking life less seriously!

Oh yes absolutely! When I read that quote, it made me realise how much I need to put it into practice.

I love The Tao of Peace because it really is so easy to just pick it up and read for a couple of minutes. Not too deep, just easy to apply.

I love the not taking self so seriously part, and I'll look for the Tao of Peace. Thanks for writing.

I'm happy that the quote resonated with you too Hans. I think it may be a bit of a downside of the healing journey as we can be so focused on getting things right, we forget to just let go and enjoy life. That's what I've found lately, so it was definitely what I needed to read!

Yes! I remember one woman who, months after her husband died, told me that she noticed the grass was green. It had been green for quite a while (she knew), but she just noticed it. I try to remember to notice something each day to enjoy. Honestly, I have so many things to enjoy where I am…I’m grateful for your writing and sharing.

I'm the same. I live in a beautiful place, so it's not hard to find things to enjoy. My sister calls it finding pockets of joy.

I was the same after my marriage broke up. One day, months after, I just started noticing things again as if for the first time. Like I was waking up to life again.

Thank you Kris for your beautiful comment. It encourages me so much to hear that what I write is helpful to others.

I'm gradually adding my meditations to Insight Timer. It's a lengthy approval process for each one, but eventually they will all be on there.
